An Occupational Therapy student at Winchester University who was previously an unpaid carer is doing a research project for former unpaid carers of adults.
She is looking to interview people who have been unpaid carers for an adult (eg parent, sibling, partner, friend) and that role has ended, whether more recently or a longer time ago.
The aim is to understand how people adjust to life after they have been carers.
The interviews will be by video call, with flexible times available, and will last about an hour.
The interviews will be analysed to see ‘themes’ and experiences of life after caring, and the research will be written up in a dissertation.
